Despite being commonly referred to as ‘slates’, our roofing is made of natural Indian sandstone. As with traditional Yorkshire stone, our imported stone is durable, weathers well and can cope well with the tough British weather.
The roofing slates are supplied in the Autumn Indian sandstone colour, in varying heights and widths. The natural colour variation allows the stone to blend in sympathetically to any surroundings as with traditional roofing slates. They will weather naturally over time.
No man-made product can match the look and feel of a natural stone. The tiles are supplied with an arc at the top (which is better than just having the corners cut off as some suppliers do as it’s easier for them) and a pin hole cut 5cm from the top. We also offer reclaimed Yorkstone roofing. The tiles are supplied in packs of different heights, and within those packs, there are a selection of different widths for a more random look.
